Medeba Youth Retreats and Covid - 19

These are very unique times we have been navigating as of late.  Medeba is committed to helping our various communities walk through such a difficult and trying experience.  Whether it is our Summer Camp community, Guest and School Group community, or our local Haliburton Highlands community, we are seeking to encourage, protect and support as best we can.  We are following the news closely and are adhering to our government and public health authorities as they continue to give new requirements.  Our facility has been closed to the public since March 16th, and our staff have been working remotely since March 24.  We have been meeting, planning and even interviewing using our wonderful virtual technology.   We are doing everything we can to keep Medeba safe and ready for guests once the government, public health authorities, and Ontario Camping Association deem it appropriate.

What is happening with School Groups and Guest Groups at Medeba this Spring?

We have cancelled all groups onsite until at least May 30th, after which we will reassess the current measures still in place.  We will move forward with decisions to re-open  under the recommendations of our government, public health authorities, and Ontario Camping Association.

What happens to the deposits already paid, for these trips?

Rest assured your deposit is not lost.  We are forwarding your deposit payment to the next available time you can return to Medeba, be it a few months later or the following year.  If you foresee any difficulties with this procedure please contact our Guest Group Coordinator ( for further discussion.
