Interested in staying for more than one week? Sign up for the weekend between camp weeks for only $75+HST.
Discovery programs are for girls and boys aged 8-12. Discovery is full of wonder and new experiences. Medeba's Discovery weeks allow campers to grow their sense of independence with the opportunity to choose their own activities. They get to choose up to four activities each day and can also choose an off-site Adventure Tours for added fun and discovery.
Day Campers show up after breakfast and join into the camp schedule with cabin time, songs and skits and lots of fun activities. After dinner, the Overnight Campers have a great time playing camp wide games and enjoying an entertaining campfire. Overnight campers also participate in Tabin night - our sleepouts. Their cabin will cook over a fire and sleep in one of our tabins overnight!
Campers will have the opportunity to sign up for a selection of activites that are held during the four daily activity periods. They can choose either Recreational or Instructional Activities. Recreational Activities are included in the program fee and emphasize having fun and trying a new activity or skill. They are generally one hour in length and can be taken as often as possible. An example of a recreational activity is zip line.
Some Instructional Activities are included in the general fee, and some have an additional cost. Instructional Activities emphasize learning a skill through formal instruction. They are generally one hour per day for the entire week. For example, campers can work on skill development in rock climbing or canoeing, or will work throughout the week on a more comples arts and crafts project.
Campers may choose to participate in one or more Adventure Tours during their week of camp. Tours take place during one morning or afternoon during the week. Limited spaces and minimum numbers apply, so sign up today! You can choose to take a tour through the registration process for Summer Camp, or by calling or emailing the office at any time until the camper's registration day. A limited number of spaces in select tours may still be available on registration day.
