Adventure Activities and Sample Schedule

Medeba has some great activities designed to help your students learn!

Maximizing Facilitation

Our desire is for students to learn as much as possible during their outdoor education retreat. They may learn hard skills about climbing, learn soft skills regarding working as a team, or they might learn something new about themself. There are a number of ways we do this starting right from booking to the actual facilitation methods we use. There are three main components of our programming with you to make your retreat successful.

First: The Design

Our desire is to work with you, as the teacher, to determine goals for a customized experience that meets the students' needs. During your stay, we are continually evaluating activities to ensure that they are effective in reaching the planned goals.

Second: The Delivery

The program is presented to small groups of 12-15 students in a way that is fun, safe and allows individuals to challenge themselves. Each activity is rich in metaphors and full of teachable moments. Our staff are qualified leaders, so teachers are able to relax and enjoy the program while our staff lead; you are able to participate with the group or just observe.

Third: The Debrief

We are committed to seeing students explore the meaning of the activities in which they participate and transfer lessons learned to their lives in practical ways. Most activities are followed by facilitated discussion to help your students identify issues, develop solutions, and make real life applications.

These activities require supervision by one of our trained staff.
